OMG! With the last day of school yesterday... I missed sending you day five of content! But here it is.

I wanted to share a quick video of our celebration last night. And also a fun fact about Novenas: Colombia is the only country that celebrates Novena, and the tradition started in the 18th century.

I am originally from Colombia, and this tradition starts today, Dec 16th. It’s called Novenas, and we gather with families and friends to sing Christmas carols with different instruments. I like this tradition because you get to go to a friend’s or relative's place every night for nine days and spend some quality time together.

In honour of this tradition that I miss very much (I live in Canada, and Novenas aren’t a thing here), from December 16th to December 24th, I will send you one quick email giving your content ideas for your social media editorial calendar in 2025.

DAY FIVE: JULY

Summer Engagement

Theme: Community Connection.

Content Ideas:

  • Share photos or videos from summer events or activities.
  • Host a simple online challenge (e.g., “Share your favourite summer memory that aligns with our mission!”).
  • Post fun, seasonal content that connects to your cause (e.g. Exploring nature this summer, nutritional recipes for kids, what can you do if you are new to the country? )

DAY SIX AUGUST

Nurturing Growth and Learning

Theme: Empowerment Through Knowledge.

Content Ideas:

  • Highlight workshops, webinars, or educational resources your nonprofit offers or supports.
  • Share tips, tools, or knowledge related to your mission (e.g., how-tos, tutorials, or guides).
  • Collaborate with followers: Ask them to share what they’ve learned or achieved with the help of your organization.

Please keep in mind that these are quick ideas to get you started. I recommend you adapt them to your organization's events and milestones you want to highlight throughout the year. For example, if you run a fundraiser in the spring, consider it and work around it.
